Copes brings to Exro robust technical expertise and vast knowledge of the mobility industry. He spent 19 years at Harley-Davidson in several commercial and operations executive positions and served as Royal Enfield’s North American division president. Copes has a proven track record for differentiating brand portfolios and commercializing mobility businesses in national and global markets. More recently, Copes served as Chief Operating Officer for American electric vehicle (“EV”) automaker Rivian, growing the team from a few hundred to thousands of employees globally leading up to the company’s listing on the Nasdaq. Copes is a passionate entrepreneur and has a special interest in lending his well-informed industry acumen to new ventures and emerging start-ups. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA.

As the founder of Rivet360, he pioneered innovative digital media solutions, leveraging AI and location technologies to produce award-winning content. His leadership at NAVTEQ was instrumental in its growth and eventual sale to NOKIA for $8.1 billion. John's extensive background also includes pivotal roles at The Walt Disney Company and Sony Corporation. He holds a BA from Harvard and an MBA from Stanford, with four patents in location technologies and content.

His journey from FMCG and management consulting led him to found SEA Electric in 2012, revolutionizing the electric commercial vehicle industry with the SEA-Drive® power-system. Under his leadership, SEA Electric achieved global presence in 8 countries across 5 continents, accumulating over 3 million miles of operation.

Nancy Gioia is a distinguished executive with over 30 years of experience in profitable business growth, product strategy, new technology development, and global operations. She currently serves on the boards of Brady Corporation (BRC) and Power Integrations (POWI). She retired from Ford Motor Company in 2014 after a notable career that included several key executive roles. Nancy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan – Dearborn and a Master’s in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University.

He spent 15 years with International Rectifiers Automotive and most recently was the senior engineer at KSR International, a global manufacturer of automotive power technologies and products. Darrell has 18 years of diverse experience that began with technical roles prior to pivoting to a career in capital markets. As an investment banker, he has over a decade of experience helping to build companies and raise capital. He is a graduate of Memorial University with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Calgary.
Chief Financial Officer
Simon has amassed over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, excelling in all aspects of development programs, manufacturing planning, process improvement, and quality control. He has led the installation of a high quality multi-million-dollar assembly line and worked on development and introduction of silicon technologies in power modules. His core skills in automated manufacturing assembly processes include vacuum reflow, inline chemical washing, and ribbon / wire bonding.

Raymond Millien is General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Exro Technologies Inc. He previously served as Chief IP Officer and CEO of Volvo Cars Ventures in Sweden. He also held roles at GE Oil & Gas, GE Healthcare, and American Express. Earlier in his career, he practiced law at DLA Piper and Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox. Raymond holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University, a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, and is “Board Qualified” by the American College of Corporate Directors.
